Yellowstone Women’s Music Collective

Ella Rae Cole is a local singer-songwriter whose music merges the genres of folk and jazz to create an ambient acoustic sound. She writes in both English and Portuguese and experiments with alternate tunings on the guitar. Ella’s debut full-length album is in the works!

Shelly Besler Kersbergen is a Livingston, MT based singer/songwriter who counts Kim Richey, Patty Griffin, Kelly Willis and Nanci Griffith among her influences. She performs regularly in the surrounding area with Tony Polecastro and has had the privilege of opening for artists such as Holly Williams and Corb Lund. You can find some of her music on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube.

Lena Marie Schiffer is a folk singer and songwriter based in Livingston, Montana. She has carved a notable niche in the music industry, particularly during her decade-long journey with the bluegrass group, Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs. Lena is a prolific songwriter who writes vocal melodies influenced by women such as Joni Mitchell and Alison Krauss, and plays a distinctive fusion of folk, indie, and Americana influences.

Singer songwriter Steph Yeager came by her genuine and soulful sound honestly. From childhood summers immersed in delta music in Memphis, to growing up immersing herself around slam poets in Chicagoland coffee shops, to absorbing country & Americana while living in TN, to living in the Arctic and singing Leonard cohen on repeat, to now settling in the vast landscapes of Montana. Her writing is as brave, layered, cheeky, and vulnerable as her many experiences and wild heart.
