The Yellowstone Women’s Music Collective is a group founded in 2023, centered around the goal of connecting, supporting, and inspiring women in music through collaboration, education, and visibility in the community. With over 60 members, this group showcases incredible talent found within the Montana music scene.
Maggie Hickman is a 3rd generation Montanan who has been playing music professionally for over a decade. She has performed in a variety of bands ranging from jazz to country, and even a Talking Heads cover band! Maggie received her BA in Music Theory in 2015 and currently plays primarily as a solo act, performing Country, Americana, and Folk music throughout Southwest Montana.
Meesh Metcalf is a sixth generation Bozemanite who grew up playing fiddle in the Gallatin Valley. She has played with many bands and varied genres of music, but always loves when she gets to share the stage with fellow lady musicians. Currently, her main band is Walcrik, of Bozeman.
Meredith Elsie brings the independent spirit of Montana to life through her music. She collects songs from the roots of country, folk and bluegrass, and mixes original compositions alongside vibrant world styles. She loves to sing a soulful tune for dancers and listeners alike.
Blake Brightman is based out of Paradise Valley, and is the frontwoman for the popular Blake Brightman Band - an electrifying american rock group that synthesizes country music with the gritty essence of southern rock and blues. Born in the South but shaped in the American West, Blake's story is infused in her music with an unparalleled emotional depth. At tje core of her musical identity is an unyielding love for rock n' roll, and she has carved a unique path between South and West, boasting a sound that echoes the heartbeat of America.
